Our Story

Since 2007

At Lavender Catering we simply love food, and everything about it.  The finest ingredients, innovative and delicious recipes, fabulous presentation and creatively expert styling. 

We specialise in outside catering & event management and our passion is all about creating, cooking and delivering beautiful food for all occasions.

We are creators of mouth-watering and tempting menu’s and specialise in Buffets, Private and Corporate Events, Funerals, Celebrations of all kinds and Weddings.

Our Experience

With fifteen years of event management experience we are not just about food. We'll help you with every aspect of your event from concept to completion – finding the perfect venue, choosing a delicious and appropriate menu, organising equipment rental, coordinating your floral arrangements, entertainment, theming, staffing and all the other twiddly bits.

Our attention to detail is unsurpassed whether we are providing a platter of sandwiches for a business lunch, a private dining affair or a sit down wedding buffet for 300.  

We will work closely with you to help navigate all the aspects of your event.  Ensuring we understand the complexities of your needs, the sensitivities of the occasion and always with the goal of achieving a seamless, wonderful event.

Committing to Sustainability

The 25 Mile Challenge

We are proudly conscientious of our planet.    

Committed to sustainability, we give maximum priority to sourcing from local and regional suppliers, conscientiously using sustainable, re-usable products wherever possible and concentrating on achieving zero food wastage.  

By launching our 25 Mile Challenge we aim to source as much of the produce we use for our clients' events from within a 25 mile range of our kitchens

As well as out 25 Mile commitment we ensure that any excess food from our events is diverted to either our Outreach Connect Programme, local food banks or within the community to those in need.  

 And our refuse is collected and recycled, with food waste being recycled back to make energy.   None of it goes to landfill.

In the kitchen…

An Introduction

Experienced Head Chef Melanie Williams has clocked  many hundreds of hours  in various kitchens. As a specialised event chef, locations include Chelsea Football Club, Lingfield Race Course and Reading FC, and just recently has acclaimed the position of Head Chef at The Royal Berkshire Polo Club.

For our bigger events we bring on board chefs with exceptional abilities and experience.

And the team all has one thing in common – a passion to create beautiful, fresh, seasonal mouth-watering menus.

Our in-house team are specialists in planning and managing magically, memorable  events.  Your event will be managed and planned with precision and panache, so from the moment everyone arrives until the last guest has left, it will run smoothly, on time and within budget.
